City Services

The City of Wilton provides service of water, sewer and garbage. Meters are read around the 12th of each month, water and sewer are billed based on the amount of gallons used. Garbage is $11 each month and the City also offers a discount on garbage for customers over the age 65.

Garbage collection for north of 5th Street (Highway 927) is on Tuesday and for south of 5th Street is on Wednesdays. Garbage must be out at the curb by 7:00 AM on the day of pickup. Recycling bin should be placed out at the same time as garbage.

The City requires a deposit of $50 for water service. The deposit is refunded after 2 years if all the bills have been paid by the 20th, unless the customer moves before that time.

Bills are sent out at first of each month and are due by the 20th of the month. If the water portion of the bill is not paid by the 25th of the month, the customer will be posted and assessed a $25 service charge. If other arrangements are needed to pay the bill, please inquire at City Hall. The City has a drop box for payments after normal working hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The drop box is located near our outside entrance.
