Fall Citywide Garage Sale
Fall Citywide Garage Sale is coming up this Saturday, September 7. If you’re giving a garage sale, sign up by Labor Day, Monday, September 2, to appear on the map. If you’re not holding a garage sale, be sure to shop Wilton businesses as well as all the garage sales on September 7!
Halloween Trunk or Treat
Kids will have a ghoulishly good time at the Halloween Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 31, 3:30-5:30. Young Life will again provide a spooooky Haunted House. We hope everyone plans to participate….we can only hope it won’t be the coldest day of the year like it was in 2023!
Founders Day 2024
Founders Day 2024 was incredible! Many, many thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors! We are so fortunate to live in a community that provides unfathomable support in time, resources, and energy!

Teacher Welcome Luncheon
We welcomed teachers on their first day back to school on Monday, August 19, 11:30 am at the cafeteria. Several Chamber & Development members were able to attend and show the teachers the community’s support for a new school year!

River to River Retro Road Trip On September 19, a bunch of retro cars will be coming through town and stopping at the Wilton Candy Kitchen as part of the River to River Retro Road Trip, September 19-22, which goes from Davenport to Council Bluffs on Historic US Route 6, stopping at only Mom & Pops and driving only two-lane roads. You won't want to miss it!
Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine shares that global visionary and Muscatine High School graduate, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, will be back in Muscatine October 10-12, 2024, with a focus on mental health. Mississippi Valley Workforce Development introduced Skillup Mississippi Valley, which aims to enhance workforce development and provide lifelong learning opportunities. The platform offers courses in various fields such as technology, healthcare, and business, all designed to support personal and professional growth. Also, the Mississippi Valley Workforce Development Board is excited to invite all local businesses to participate in a brief survey that focuses on the implementation of the Good Job Principles within their organizations. The Good Job Principles emphasize key elements such as fair wages, benefits, hiring practices, safe working conditions, and opportunities for growth and development. By participating in this survey, businesses will play a critical role in shaping workforce development strategies that support both employers and employees.
