Summer Splash
What says summer more than playing in the water to the sounds of a steel drum band? WCDA is joining forces with Wilton Fire/EMS to celebrate the new splash pad and welcome Summer. On Saturday, May 30, at City Park, 12 Noon to 3 pm there will be splashy fun, games, summer sign-ups, food trucks, a steel drum band, vendors, and to top it all off, firefighter water battles!
Wilfundy Golf Outing
We will enjoy the fun and sun at Wahkonsa on Friday, June 12.
Founders Day
Founders Day will be August 21-22. Our country is turning 250 this year, and the 2026 theme is Happy Birthday! The Grand Marshals will be the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, and all veterans.
Career Expo
On April 2, WCDA partnered with Eastern Iowa Community College and Wilton Community Schools to put on the Career Exploratory Fair at the Community Center. There were 32 businesses there to provide a total of 546 Wilton students with the opportunity to find out about potential future careers. See below for even more photos.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is building in Wilton! At 312 Locust Street, a prison-built house will be delivered some time in early September. The target date for the 2026 partner family to move in is November 1, but Habitat is still looking for that family! To apply, go to Muscatine County Area Habitat for Humanity - Home.
Habitat is also seeking donations from anyone who believes in the mission of Habitat for Humanity and would like to invest in this opportunity to provide affordable housing in Wilton. Contact Kayla Lemon at habitatofficemusc@gmail.com for more information.
Alumni Banquet
The Wilton Alumni Association’s 128th Annual Alumni Banquet is Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Wilton Community Center. Advance tickets are $25 or $30 after April 15, so purchase soon! Tickets are available at the Candy Kitchen, Brammeier’s Service Station, or contact Cindy Tietz at 563-357-7837. You can also email wiltonalumniassociation@gmail.com.
United Way Muscatine County
Day of Caring: Wilton Elementary students are still looking for project sites for Wilton Day of Caring on May 8. Teacher Kelli Stuhr is working with Mason at United Way to find more projects that elementary schoolers could do. Please email: mason@unitedwaymuscatine.org or call 563-223-8497 by April 24.
Kids First Breakfast: The breakfast will take place on May 15th from 7–9 am at Crossroads, 1424 Houser St. in Muscatine. The public is welcome, and advance to-go orders are available through May 14th at noon. Click here to place a to-go order.
