Mark your calendars! August 21-22 is this year’s Founders Day theme is Happy Birthday U.S.A.! The Grand Marshals will be the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, and all veterans.
We need volunteers! Please let us know if you are willing to help out.
We also need coordinators! Do you know anyone who would like to help with a basketball HORSE tournament, run BINGO, or host a pet show?
Tri-County Community Band
On Wednesday, July 22, at 7:30 pm, the Tri-County Community Band will give their summer concert at the Community Center. The Candy Kitchen and WCDA will provide ice cream cones during the intermission, so be sure to get in on this delicious musical night!
So Far This Spring and Summer…
Fortress Fence
Jason Calvert, President of Fortress Fence, provided the WCDA board with a tour of the company’s new facility and shared information about the business, its growth, and its commitment to the City of Wilton. Following the presentation, the WCDA Board members recognized Jason’s contributions and success by presenting him with a First Dollar award.

Summer Splash
Our Summer Splash was a great success. While the steel drum band was entertaining us on Wilton’s new portable stage with music, Wilton Fire/EMS personnel were busy engaging kids in fun activities alongside the splash pad that will become everyone’s favorite spot this summer. The firefighters battled against each other with Blue Grass taking home the trophy.

CBI After Hours
After being rained out on June 11, Monika Verdinez, Branch Manager, hosted an After Hours in the CBI parking lot on June 18. They had live music, food by Arty’s, and a fun challenge between three local nonprofit organizations—all of which won big donations from CBI!

Wilfundy Golf Outing
Another victim of a rainout was Wilfundy, which was held not on June 12 but on June 19. It was worth the wait because the weather on the 19th was perfect! Many thanks to the participants, volunteers, sponsors, and prize donors!
