Christmas Window Walk and Parade

"THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS” is the theme for this year's Window Walk and Parade in Wilton, sponsored by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.  Please consider joining us on this special night, Sunday, December 2, 2012, to celebrate the Holiday Season! 

     Santa and Mrs. Claus’s arrival is going to be a Christmas Parade starting at 5 p.m.   The parade route will start at the Wilton Post Office on Fourth St, and will end after a ride around the block at the old library building (106 E. 4th St.), where Santa will visit with the children in the Community until 6:30 p.m.   Santa would love to see crowded streets for his Grand Entrance.   

 

 

There will be a Tour of Homes this year!   The homes to be toured are:  Sue & Dennis Boorn – 501 Cherry St., Sandy Darting – 115 W. Wate St., Tom & Patches Breed – 217 E. Wate St., Dave & Mary Lou Watkins – 2566 122nd St. and Paul & Karla Howard – 204 W. Division St.  Tickets will be sold at each home for $5.00!  The hours are 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Please come out and tour these beautiful homes.

      The Window Walk will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  The categories are as follows:  BESTWINDOW, JUDGES CHOICE AND MOST ORIGINAL.  The winners of these categories will receive Chamber gift certificates!  There will also be a gift certificate given to the parade entry for Best Theme!

      The Moscow Friendly 4-H club will be in the lower level of the Community Bank to do craft items with the area children.  So please bring your children or grandchildren to see how creative they can be.  The Family, Career & Community Leaders of America will be at the Community Bank also to decorate Christmas Cookies with the children.  This should be fun for everyone!

     The Wilton Boy Scouts will be at the Community room from 5:00 p.m. serving soup.  Don’t miss the WILTON FFA - LIVE NATIVITY down at the basketball court!! 

      Steve Shirk will be providing Horse Drawn carriage rides during the Window Walk this year!  He will pick up riders in front of the old Library building.

      The Wilton Historical Society will be sponsoring their “CHRISTMAS TREE EXTRAVAGANZA”again this year from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.  Please be sure and stop by the Depot to see all the trees.  Also be sure to check out how beautiful the Depot looks this time of year!  If you would like to do a tree, please contact JoEllen Meyer (732-3553 or 732-3864), Jane Kreimeyer – 732-2403 or Jacque Schweitzer – 732-3103.

      Wine Tasting – Blooming Ideas will be hosting a wine tasting event from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
