The 2009-2010 United Way of Wilton campaign will begin this month with a mailing for residents of Wilton and Moscow and the rural Wilton school district areas. Watch your mail for this information.
If you work out of town and would like to pledge to the United Way of Wilton, contact your employer and ask them to send it to United Way of Wilton, P.O. Box 280, Wilton, IA. 52778-0005.
“The success of the campaign depends on you for reaching the goal!”
There will be a breakdown of the budget with this mailing. There are 20 organizations that depend on the United Way of Wilton to keep its programs afloat.
Due to the severe economic downturn that started about a year ago, for the first time in many years the United Way of Wilton was unable to meet 100% of its goal last year. Therefore, this year more than ever, we must rely on those of us who are still able to make our usual contribution or increase it until the economy gets back to normal. Please consider this an additional urgent plea this year for all Wilton donors to maintain or increase their contribution to the United Way.
Board members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Social Services committee, who set the budget, want to thank the community for its support.
