FLOAT CATEGORY

The 31st Annual Wilton Founders Day celebration will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 25th, 26th & 27th in downtown Wilton! 

The carnival this year is Superior Equipment. They are doing an arm band night for $15 on Thursday from 5 – 9 p.m. Advanced tickets can be purchased up until 4 p.m. on Friday from Community Bank, Central State Bank and the Chamber office. Tickets are 20 for $15 and rides do take 2 or more tickets each. 

The Founders Day committee has met and is making plans for this year's event. The theme will be "Down on the Farm" and the grand marshals are the Chamber's Executive Board: President Lisa Kublik; VP Marci Severson; Treasurer Grant Lilienthal and Past President Dan Marine.

The City is looking for volunteers to help with Ragbrai!

The Wilton Community Development Association, WCDA, is still accepting donations for the snowflake decorations.  There are the decorations that were on display this past Christmas, 2010, downtown on the light poles.  

The Legislative Committee of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce will hold a Legislative Open Forum on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Wilton Community Room – 104 E. 4th St.

This meeting will have Senator Jim Hahn, Representative Jeff Kaufmann and Representative Mark Lofgren on hand to answer and discuss current issues before both the House and the Senate.

The Wilton Chamber of Commerce will hold its 49th annual dinner on Monday, January 17, 2010 at the Wilton Community Center.

Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner underway at 7 p.m.  tickets are $15.00 each.  Those who would like to attend are encouraged to make their reservations with the chamber office as soon as possible.  This dinner is open to the public as well as chamber members.  Contact the office for tickets by Friday, January 14, 2011.

"CHRISTMAS VACATION" is the theme for this year's Window Walk and Parade in Wilton,sponsored by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.  Please consider joining us on this special night, Sunday, December 5, 2010, to celebrate the Holiday Season!
