Citywide Garage Sale
Fall Citywide Garage Sale is this Saturday (September 12)! Get out there with the rest of the county and find some bargains!
Trunk or Treat
We will celebrate Halloween, October 31, with Trunk-or-Treat downtown, 3:30-5:30. We’ll be in touch to ask which businesses plan to participate. Last year we had over 450 kids plus their families!
Small Business Saturday
Every year we encourage shopping at our amazing local businesses with Small Business Saturday by having customers enter a drawing for Chamber Bucks. New this year, November 27-28, we are adding Friday and we are adding more Chamber Bucks! Anyone who makes a purchase on Friday or Saturday can enter the drawing and there are more Chamber Bucks to win, increasing everyone’s chances!
Window Walk
Put December 6 on your calendar for a return to the 50s and 60s with an Old-Fashioned Christmas! The play features all your favorite Mayberry characters—who’s going to play Andy? Gomer? Aunt Bea?—and a Christmas parade! Wait to winterize your golf cart so that you can join in the Festive Fun on Wheels decorating contest! The parade will take Santa from the Masonic Lodge to the Depot, where he will light the tree. Kids can visit Santa and ride the little train (weather permitting), and everyone can stroll through downtown and tour two beautiful Wilton homes decorated for Christmas.

Founders Day 2026

5th Street Ribbon Cutting
In August, there was a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the 5th Street Project. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, community members, local leaders, and supporters gathered to mark this milestone. This project enhances the area by creating a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike.

Reading Mentors Needed
United Way Muscatine County is looking for volunteers to read with children at the Elementary School 30 minutes a week. Available time slots are 10:15-10:30, 1:15-1:55, and 2:15-2:45. Call Mason at 563-223-8497.
Join 4-H

Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine
A talented, generous youth in Muscatine County will receive $1000 to donate to a charitable cause of their choice. The Giles Joslyn Youth Initiative Award recognizes a youth age 18 or under who was the primary organizer of a charitable program or project. Submit a nomination by October 1.
